ABOUT US

OUR MISSION AND VISION

CertifHy is dedicated to advancing the production, procurement, and utilization of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen, driven by the goal of meeting ambitious environmental and decarbonisation targets. By doing so, we aim to safeguard the climate and enhance living conditions for all humankind.

CertifHy advocates for the sustainable production of hydrogen across various sectors, including energy, transportation, chemical conversion, heating, and power generation. This approach brings about a host of environmental, social, and economic benefits.

CertifHy has crafted robust certification schemes designed to ensure transparency and compliance with EU mandates regarding the origin and environmental attributes of hydrogen. These schemes offer a high-quality framework to guarantee the accuracy of that information.

In 2014, CertifHy launched its Stakeholder Platform, uniting producers, consumers, traders, issuing bodies, regulators, and hydrogen-oriented institutions. They have collaborated to shape a shared understanding of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen, which serves as the foundation for CertifHy’s scheme development.

Openness, reliability, integrity, quality, and transparency are the core principles guiding CertifHy’s approach to scheme development and stakeholder engagement.

We believe that establishing a mature market for low-carbon and renewable hydrogen will unlock the premium value of those products, ensuring their economic viability in the process.

We aim to facilitate the production, procurement, and utilization of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen, thus enabling stakeholders to effectively fulfill their environmental commitments.

CertifHy’s™  mission is to advance and facilitate the production, procurement and use of non-renewable, renewable and low carbon hydrogen, fulfilling ambitious environmental criteria as well as decarbonization objectives, in order to protect the climate and improve the living conditions of humankind.

CertifHy™ contributes to and promotes the sustainable production of hydrogen for all types of uses including energy, transportation, chemical conversion, heating and power generation, hence providing environmental, social and economic benefits.

CertifHy™ has developed high-quality hydrogen certification schemes addressing consumer disclosure (from well to gate) as well as RED II target compliance (from well to wheel).

CertifHy™ ensures that the certification schemes meet a high standard of quality and provides the adequate framework for guaranteeing transparent information about the origin and environmental attributes of hydrogen.

CertifHy™ created a stakeholder platform where producers, consumers, traders, issuing bodies, regulators and H2 focused institutions act together towards a common understanding of the concept of non-renewable, renewable and low carbon hydrogen and contribute to the continuous development of the CertifHy™ schemes.

Openness, reliability, integrity, quality and transparency are core principles of the CertifHy™ schemes and are fundamental for CertifHy’s™ relationship with its stakeholders.

WE BELIEVE THAT

Establishing a mature market for low-carbon and renewable hydrogen will unlock the premium value of those products, ensuring their economic viability in the process.

WE AIM TO

Facilitate the production, procurement, and utilization of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen, thus enabling stakeholders to effectively fulfill their environmental commitments.
