Take Action: Shape Hydrogen Certification Through Stakeholder Engagement

The CertifHy Stakeholder Platform brings together producers, traders, logistic operators, users, NGOs, research institutions, and public sector organisations to actively influence the development and implementation of CertifHy’s certification schemes — primarily the CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme (RFNBO and Low-Carbon scopes), while also supporting the future evolution of the NGC Scheme.

By participating, you contribute directly to making certification more robust, practical, and aligned with real-world market needs.

Working Group 1 – CertifHy Schemes Rules & Procedures

Focuses on the strategic development of CertifHy schemes. Members provide input on rule amendments, ensure consistency across documents, and advise on updates needed to keep the CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme (and potentially the NGC Scheme) effective and future-proof.

Working Group 2 – CertifHy Schemes' Implementation

Dedicated to practical application. Participants help improve processes, enhance user experience for Economic Operators, and identify needs for better guidance, tools, and training materials.

Working Group 3 – Topical On-Demand Working Group

Short-term, focused groups created to address emerging technical challenges and opportunities. These groups typically run for around 6 months and enable targeted collaboration on specific topics across CertifHy’s certification frameworks.

Plenary Session: A Forum for Clean Hydrogen Progress

The CertifHy Stakeholder Platform convenes annually for its Plenary Session, a high-level forum that unites the entire stakeholder community.

Key Focus:

  • Engage in discussions on critical industry trends affecting hydrogen certification
  • Receive updates from the Steering Committee on the latest developments of the CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme
  • Celebrate achievements of the stakeholder community
  • Network with fellow stakeholders, industry leaders, and policymakers
  • Stay informed on potential Steering Committee elections

The Plenary Session is a cornerstone event for strategic dialogue, collaboration, and shaping the future of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen certification in Europe.

Expert Technical Support – Member Benefit

Stakeholder Platform members benefit from free access to CertifHy’s Expert Technical Support service.

This includes direct guidance from hydrogen certification specialists on a wide range of topics, such as scheme rules, GHG calculations, traceability, audit preparation, and many other technical or regulatory questions related to CertifHy certification.

This support helps members implement the schemes more efficiently and resolve issues with confidence.
