The CertifHy EU Voluntary Scheme (with RFNBO and Low-Carbon scopes) forms the core of CertifHy’s activities. Cooperation is also available under the CertifHy NGC Scheme.

Key Responsibilities of Cooperating Certification Bodies

Cooperation involves a number of ongoing responsibilities. These include, among others:

  • Appointing a qualified CertifHy Scheme Manager as the main contact point.
  • Maintaining a robust quality and risk management system.
  • Submitting an annual report and all required audit documentation and data in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring auditors maintain competence through continuous training and regular auditing activity.
  • Upholding strict rules on independence and impartiality.

Eligibility Criteria for Cooperation

To cooperate with CertifHy, Certification Bodies must meet the following main requirements:

  • Hold relevant accreditation from a National Accreditation Body (member of the European co-operation for Accreditation or equivalent). Only accreditation bodies may perform this accreditation.
  • Sign a formal Cooperation Agreement with CertifHy.
  • Have at least two auditors who have successfully completed CertifHy Academy training and obtained Approved Auditor status for the relevant scope(s).
  • Commit to full compliance with CertifHy’s audit, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate independence, impartiality, and the necessary operational capacity.
