Bureau Veritas has been a key partner since 2023, providing certification for the CertifHy Non-Governmental Certification (NGC) Scheme, which tracks the origin and environmental attributes of hydrogen produced and consumed across Europe. The new recognition for the CertifHy EU RFNBO Voluntary Scheme strengthens this partnership and provides a critical service for both European producers and international importers who must comply with EU regulations.

Adhering to strict principles like additionality—guaranteeing that renewable electricity comes from new, dedicated sources—and the temporal and geographical alignment between electricity generation and hydrogen production, the program ensures a minimum 70% reduction in GHG emissions compared to fossil fuels.
